Today I want to talk about the truly amazing and unique ingredient that has completely taken over my kitchen in recent years: matcha!

If you haven't heard of matcha before, or if you're just not sure what all the fuss is about, I'm here to tell you all about this incredible ingredient that we're so passionate about at SANA and why it should be a staple in your pantry.

First off, let's start with what matcha actually is. Matcha is a type of green tea that comes from Japan. The tea leaves are shade-grown, which means that they are protected from the sun and develop a higher concentration of chlorophyll, giving them a bright green colour. Once harvested, the leaves are then ground into a fine powder, which can be used to make tea or added to smoothies, baked goods, and more.
